Geoffrey Canada of Harlem Children’s Zone

Geoffrey Canada President of the Harlem Children’s Zone, Inc. spoke with me and Broadway today about the importance of not turning a blind eye to our community and children. Before I begin talking, I would love to thank the Miami Children’s Initiative for inviting Geoffrey Canada to speak to the Liberty City Community. Hats off to a job well Done! The focus was on education and community support for outside the box thinking. Yes! This was confirmation that, located in the heart of Liberty City 18th Ave. 6840 St. is doing the right thing by empowering kids through entrepreneur education. Mr. Canada also pointed out that learning starts with good passionate teachers. Ray Parris (teacher) and Mr. Broadway (Entrepreneur) spend their Saturday working and educating kids of all ages on Broadway Ave.  Miami Dade is excited for change, which is long over due.

Like Martin Luther King, Jr. said “I Have A Dream”; Now how can we make this program parafruit education a reality on Broadway Ave. because if Mr. Canada can do it in Harlem, most definitely we can do it in Liberty City 18th Ave. on Broadway Ave. with support and funding for our Kids….
